You can use a Wifi or Ethernet connection to connect the extender to your computer or mobile device.

Launch a web browser and enter www.mywifiext.net on your computer or mobile device. Following this, the Netgear installation assistant displays. Connect your extender to the available Wifi network, following the prompts

Move your extender to any location of your preference. If you fail to get connected or receive poor connection, move the extender closer to your router and wait till the LED lights white. Once you find the best location for your extender, connect your client devices to the extended Wifi network.

Resetting Netgear ex6150

Netgear ex6150 reset to the default setting in two ways. One is by pressing the Factory Reset button and two, by using the web user interface or (GUI).

Factory Reset button:

Find an object like a pen or a paperclip.

Look for the Factory Reset button at the bottom of the extender. Press and hold the reset button with the paper clip or pen. Now, wait for at least 5 seconds or until the Device to Extender LED blinks amber.

Release the Factory Reset button and wait till the extender reboots. Once rebooted, your extender will be reset to its factory default settings.

Web GUI:

Ensure using a computer that is connected to the extender via a wired or wireless connection.

Launch your internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Enter mywifiext.net in the address bar of the internet browser.

Type your email and password on the log in page and click Log In.

First click Settings then Other Settings, on the Netgear genie page.

Click Reset and then Yes to proceed.

Wait for the web user interface to finish resetting the device to factory default settings.
